This free app will keep you on your toes. Perfect for new runners, the Couch to 5K running program is designed to get you off the couch and running five kilometres in just nine-weeks. This program features a gentle introduction that starts you walking and running, and incrementally takes you through more advanced running sessions as you progress. 

You have human audio cues guiding you through each workout, and you can take your pick of four different virtual motivational coaches, Johnny Dead, Constance, Billie or Sergeant Block.


4. Google Fit

Google fit remains one of the top-rated fitness apps in 2020. It acts as an activity tracker that collects data while you perform exercises like walking, cycling, and swimming.
