The Role
We are seeking a caring, motivated, and approachable Remedial Massage Therapist to join our growing team.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality remedial massage therapy to a diverse clientele presenting with general musculoskeletal conditions, occupational strain, sports recovery, stress management, and age-related musculoskeletal issues (such as osteoarthritis management, joint stiffness, degenerative disc conditions, and age-related mobility challenges).
While treating a well-rounded caseload of both female and male clients, we are particularly looking for a practitioner who holds an interest in Women’s Health & Pre/Post-Natal Care—supporting women through various life stages, from pregnancy care to healthy aging, stress relief, and general vitality.
We also place strong value on a therapist who takes a proactive approach to client retention and rebooking, establishing clear treatment plans that help new clients commit to their long-term health while steadily growing a loyal caseload.
What You’ll Do
* Provide Tailored Remedial Care: Deliver high-quality remedial, deep tissue, and relaxation soft-tissue therapies customized to each client’s individual goals, physical capacity, and health history.
* Manage Age-Related & Degenerative Conditions: Apply thoughtful, evidence-informed manual therapy strategies to support older adults and clients experiencing age-related musculoskeletal changes (e.g., arthritic pain, spinal stiffness, postural changes, and reduced range of motion).
* Support Our Diverse Client Base: Treat both female and male clients across a broad range of clinical presentations—from acute strain and sports recovery to chronic pain management.
* Nurture Women’s Health Interests: Apply your interest in women’s wellness to provide supportive care across life stages, including pre- and post-natal massage for expectant mothers.
* Focus on Client Retention & Rebooking: Engage proactively with new clients to design ongoing care plans, explain the value of follow-up care, and confidently rebook clients to build a busy, sustainable caseload.
* Conduct Thoughtful Consultations: Gather client histories, perform basic physical assessments, and outline clear, supportive treatment recommendations.
* Collaborate Within a Multidisciplinary Team: Work alongside our in-house myotherapists, osteopaths, naturopaths, and counsellors to provide cross-referrals and holistic client care.
* Maintain Clinical Excellence: Keep accurate, timely SOAP notes and ensure a clean, serene, and safe treatment room setup.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualifications: Diploma of Remedial Massage or equivalent.
* Health Fund Eligibility: Current professional association membership (e.g., Massage & Myotherapy Australia, ATMS, ANTA) and eligibility for HICAPS provider registration.
* Core Requirements: Current First Aid & CPR certifications, plus Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
* Clinical Interests & Mindset: Strong foundational knowledge in general remedial therapy, an interest in supporting aging populations and women’s health, and an active commitment to client rebooking and retention.
* Personal Qualities: A gentle, empathetic demeanor, excellent communication skills, adaptability when working with varying physical mobility levels, and a drive to build a flourishing practice.
