Hours: 24hrs a week (3 x 8 hour shifts including one Saturday or Sunday, 30 min paid meal break, 30 min paid clinical note completion\/cleaning & end of shift procedures)
\nMore hours available once you build up a steady patient base.<\/p>\n
Salary Package
\nRemedial Massage Therapist – $40,725-$43,930 (inclusive of super)
\nMyotherapist – $45,530-$48,735 (inclusive of super)<\/p>\n
Bonuses: Weekly KPI Bonuses (earn $70-$200 extra per week for achieving performance targets), Google Review Bonus $50.<\/p>\n
Entitlements: Annual Leave accrual, Sick Leave accrual, Public Holiday pay, Staff Discount on Treatment<\/p>\n
Probation Period: 6 months<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nQualifications: Minimum Diploma of Remedial Massage\/Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy
\nAssociation: Member of a professional Massage\/Myotherapy association
\nInsurance: Public Liability & Professional Indemnity
\nFirst Aid Certificate
\nExperience: Preferred, but will take on the right new graduate<\/p>\n
Duties and Expectations of the Role<\/p>\n
Provide Myotherapy\/Remedial Massage Treatments:
\n– Assess and treat musculoskeletal pain and injuries
\n– Provide patients with comprehensive treatment plan that aligns with their goals for pain management and injury rehabilitation
\n– Rebooking patients in an appropriate manner
\n– Maintain treatment notes for all patients
\n– KPIs for bookings<\/p>\n
Administration:
\n– Process and record payments
\n– Upload any relevant documents to patient files (imaging reports, referrals, etc)
\n– Write referrals for patients if required (summaries of treatment plan for GP or other members of the patients healthcare team; certificate of attendance; request for workplace to conduct ergonomic assessment or provide patient with specialty equipment, etc)
\n– Follow up with patients by email or phone<\/p>\n
Self Promotion, Marketing & Networking
\n– Write or record value adding articles for the clinic blog, website, social media, fact sheets, etc
\n– Self promotion online including social media, forums, etc
\n– Networking with local aligned businesses and service providers for referrals
\n– Encourage patients to refer and review<\/p>\n
General Duties
\n– Maintain clean work environment, including following standard cleaning procedures, and cleaning up incidental spills, vacuuming, etc
\n– Answer enquiries (phone, email, walk in customers)<\/p>\n

\nWe\u2019re currently a team of 2 – Mel is the Big Boss, and has been a full time Remedial Massage\/Myotherapist since 2014. Duke is a Remedial Massage Therapist currently upgrading to Myotherapy at RMIT, and he is also studying to be a Pilates Instructor.
\nWe\u2019ve recently moved into our new clinic in Rowville, and can\u2019t wait to grow our team!<\/p>\n
Our Facilities
\nOur clinic has 2 treatment rooms and a corrective exercise space.
\nBoth treatment rooms have electric treatment tables, sinks, treatment tools and supplies.
\nWe have a staff break room with a dining table, fridge and basic kitchen supplies and snacks.
\nLinen delivery and pick up is outsourced to a professional linen company.
\nConnected Sonos sound systems in reception and treatment rooms.
\nHICAPS is available for private health claims.
\nWe are located in a busy shopping hub with plenty of parking in Rowville (neighbouring shops include busy cafe, pizza shop, real estate, takeaway shops, IGA, pharmacy, doctor and chiropractor)<\/p>\n
Bookings
\nWe use Cliniko for our booking management.
\nMost patients book their appointments online or rebook at the end of their appointment.
\nWe run active online advertising campaigns to attract new patients, and currently have more demand than we can fulfil.
\nRebooking patients appropriately is expected, and we can help you with building your confidence in creating treatment plans and making rebooking an easy and comfortable part of your therapeutic relationship with your patients.<\/p>\n

\nAn understanding, empathetic professional who can communicate easily with patients in language they can understand – save the abbreviations and anatomical terminology for the treatment notes.

If you\u2019ve done extra study or courses for techniques, modalities, or perhaps an instructor in yoga, pilates, meditation, etc we see that as a bonus (and if you\u2019re interested in doing it, we want to support and encourage you to add those skills!)

Above all, we really want to find someone who is a great fit for our team and our patients. Techniques can be taught and perfected, but attitude and outlook are unique to you.<\/p>\n
Interview process will be in 2 stages. First we will invite you to a face to face interview, and candidates who progress to the second interview stage will come in for an approx 45-90 minute (paid) hands on demonstration interview where you will give 1-2 x 30 minute treatments.<\/p>\n
